We had an impressive drop in canary seed prices at the grower level in the past couple of weeks, and now we're suggesting to importers that it might be time to get off of the sidelines. At C$0.44-0.47/lb. FOB-Farm in Saskatchewan, grower participation is seemingly absent. It feels like we've lost sight of the extremely tight stocks-to-usage ratio. Bottom line is that we see more of a risk to the upside than to the downside for any buyers that need canary seed to arrive at their warehouses between now and next November 2022.
